CADY
Kate Cady graduated with a BSc Sports Therapy in 1999 and since university has been working clinically gaining team experience in professional football, rugby and semi professional and international ice hockey. Kate has been Head of sports therapy for Swindon Town FC and head therapist at Newport County as well as Head of sports therapy and sports medicine for the English Ice Hockey. She was also lead sports therapist for the Rest of the World team at the UNICEF David Beckham game at Old Trafford working with athletes such as Ronaldinho and Figo. Kate has travelled extensively for tournaments and these include The worlds student games in China, tournaments in Canada, America and The Cayman Islands as well as Europe.
She set up Back2fitness in 2004 and loves getting people back from injury. Kate gained a MSc sports and exercise medicine and MSc Football rehabilitation and she is currently studying for her PhD in knee kinematics during sports specific activities.
She has been teaching in Higher education since 2004 and loves developing new Sports Therapists. A keen sports person, Kate confesses to not been good at any sport but having a go at everything. She has completed several half marathons, Tough Mudders, a boxing match and taken part in most sports. This has helped developed her knowledge so she can better understand her clients.
